If you are a student, early career investigator, researcher, or mentee looking to connect with seasoned epidemiologists and you are interested in learning more about different careers in the field of in Epidemiology – then this workshop is for you!!!
This year’s workshop will start with a series of presentations from leading epidemiologists who have held careers in the government, industry, academic, and consulting sectors. Attendees will then have the opportunity to sit down at round-tables led by representatives from these different settings, discuss key points, and hear directly from those in the field. Your round-table discussion leaders will describe what it was like to select and move between different careers and pass along key points that you can use as you navigate the great field of Epi!
Attendees will have a chance to attend 2 round-table sessions (45 minutes each, separated by a short break) in order to maximize opportunities for questions & answers. Highlighted ‘lessons learned’ will be presented at the final wrap-up session so you won’t miss out on cross-cutting issues. Also, things don’t end here - we plan on continuing the discussion together at the ACE reception immediately following our workshop.
