James J.
Collins, M.S., Ph.D. is currently the Director of Epidemiology
at the Dow Chemical Company in Midland,
Michigan. He is also an Adjunct Research Professor
at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health.
Prior to joining Dow, he directed epidemiology programs
at Solutia, Monsanto, and American Cyanamid and worked
at Argonne National Laboratory. His major research
interest is the impact of occupational exposures on
worker health. He has chaired and served on several
research groups examining health effects from occupational
and environmental exposures. He is currently on the
Board of Scientific Counselors for the Agency for Toxic
Substances and Disease Registry and on the Scientific
Advisory Panel for the Mickey Leland National Urban
Air Toxics Research Center.
